About PGS Demey
Sawmill Demey, with sites in Ypres and Boezinge, was acquired by the PGS Group in 2021. Demey specializes in sawing pallet wood with an annual capacity of 30,000 m³. The company has more than 40 years of experience sawing poplar and pine wood for pallet wood, packaging wood and logs.
Did you know that about 30,000 vegetable boxes are produced per year.
Cooperation
Van den Dorpe has been supplying specially adapted forklift trucks to PGS Demey for years to load and unload heavy tree trunks. These machines therefore received a load protection rack at the front. This protective rack ensures that the machines sustain as little damage as possible.
In the 25 years that PGS Demey has been a Van den Dorpe customer, a very good bond has developed. That is why there is a local technician present who takes care of the maintenance and repairs of the machines. The company currently has a fleet of approximately 10 forklift trucks.
PGS Demey is full of praise for Linde’s machines because they have enough power to carry out this type of work. Linde forklifts have a hydrostat that allows them to handle enormous forces.
